The band was started in the mid-'70's by husband and wife, Dave and Judy Quattrone, and was known as Bruno's Parents and Uncle Willie, then, Bruno's Parents and Friends. The name changed each time they added another band member, finally ending up as The Night Shift in the mid-1980's. The members took a "break" until 2006 when after rearing their children and pursuing professional careers, the Quattrones decided it was time to get back to having fun again! They called former bandmates Gary Tucker (keyboard) and Mark Woodhouse (drums) who were game to give this band thing another go-'round and they made their debut at Fat Cats restaurant in Corning. The Lucky Ducks name was a natural since for the 39 years they have been married, Dave and Judy have always considered themselves "lucky ducks" because as a couple they are able to share their love of music and entertainment together and with the public.
